We had an indesign workshop in order to help us correctly use the software. This allowed us to then branch out accurate poster designs by using the grid layout and finding out how to place type across columns professionally.
I found the indesign workshop particularly interesting as editorial work is my passion. I enjoy working with the software as it is simple to use and creates a professional effect when finished.
Although this piece of work was simple to do, i found that the final effect was actually quite crisp and finished. I decided to only create the one large letterform on the test piece as i felt that more than one at this size could be quite overpowering.
The second indesign session i had was to create practice spreads for a digital book. I found this project was one of my favourite projects. I enjoy working in this format, and became more knowledgable about the software after being introduced to new tools that i had not used before. I enjoyed experimenting with placements in order to see where the information best fitted.
